THE VINEYARD TODAY
It occupies around 4 hectares, 0.5 hectares of « Bourgogne », 2.2 hectares of « Gevrey-Chambertin village », 1 hectare of « Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru » : Combes aux Moines, Petits Cazetiers, Goulots, et 0,30 hectares de grand Cru « Charmes Chambertin ».
The Burgundy vines planted in 1973 are located in the villages of FIXIN and GEVREY.
- A dozen parcels of "Gevrey-Chambertin Village" appellation, have an average age of 300 years.
- Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru « Les goulots », parcel located on the edge of the woods, was planted in 1974.
- Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru « Les Petits Cazetiers », parcel planted in 1959. The GALLOIS vineyard is the sole winemaker to have this precise appelation, ideally located between "Les Cazetiers" and "La Combe aux Moines".
- Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru « La Combe aux Moines », planted in 1954, thanks to its weak yield and the high quality grapes, this parcel gives a quality harvest every year. Overlooking the "Château de Gevrey", this "Premier Cru" has always been held in high esteem.
- Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, almost 100 years old, this vine has an ideal location south of the "Griottes" and below the "Chambertin".
